Mac Trans Freight Ltd is one of the forerunners in the freight-forwarding and haulage sectors operating between Ireland & The UK today.

From only offering a once weekly departure back in 1982, we now cover the Ireland - U.K.-Ireland markets on a daily basis. We have developed an extensive network to allow us to provide comprehensive coverage of Ireland, The UK on deliveries and collections, catering for all types of freight.

In January 1990, Mac Trans Freight U.K. Ltd came into being. Being situated in Birmingham. it provided us with a centralised base with which to cover the whole of mainland Britain. Most importantly, it allowed us to maintain our principles of providing an excellent hands-on service and that all-important personal touch.

In April 1994, we further demonstrated our commitment to our customer by being the first Forwarding and Warehousing Company based in the south of Ireland, to achieve the I.S.O. 9002 Quality System Award. This was later upgraded to the ISO 9001:2000 mark which we still hold today.

In 1996, we acquired our existing facility at Belvedere, Waterford. This new facility allowed us to offer 30,000Sq.Ft of clean, modern and affordable warehousing to our customers. Being fully racked and computer controlled, it has the capacity for 2,500 standard pallets. This facility also has excellent handling facilities and is accessible 24hours, 7 days a week.

In 2005, we purchased our own facility in Birmingham which allowed us the freedom to offer a wider range of facilities than previously available. This includes greater storage and handling capacity, pick & pack and increased consolidation services.
